Electrical stimulation has long been used in physical therapy to prevent muscle atrophy in patients who can’t exercise. If you’re looking to firm up muscle fast, or tone your face so you can look younger even if you don’t like the idea of injectables, then you’ve been looking for efitness.


The efitness equipment works by transmitting perfectly safe electro stimulation waves via electrodes that are connected to the muscles on the surface of the skin.

These muscle motor points have lost tone due to motor inactivity.     Abdomens are the most popular. When treating the abdomen, we include firming the lower back as well, to ensure the core remains stable and healthy (and the back looks good as well). Conversely, I can strengthen a bad back by treating it and the abdominals, to improve functional fitness.


    Bottoms respond really nicely to muscle stimulation, becoming firmer and rounder as a result of treatment.


    Upper arms get great results, as do faces (think natural face lift). Combining a breast lift with upper arms is great for looking spectacular in a strapless dress. I’ve firmed up knees, as well as maintaining knee muscles when clients are unable to exercise due to pain.


    Honestly, that will depend on you to a large extent. I usually recommend a series of treatments, followed by bi monthly maintenance. However, if you’re looking for long term improvement in appearance (not function), then I tend to weigh clients, and stipulate that treatment will only continue if weight remains stable or sometimes if it reduces (not drastically, say a pound every 2 or 3 weeks).

    This is to protect clients from investing, both financially and emotionally, in a treatment which may improve muscle tone, but not visibly if muscle is covered by a layer of fat.
